On "Lincoln Has Won", indie rock/cowpunk quintet The Habit, take you on a tour of a scarred country, an America still at war with its changing self. The wail of opener “War is Done” echoes The Pogues finest anthems, while “Blood on the Saddle” draws from the same well as vintage Crazy Horse, but that’s only part of the plan. “Lincoln Has Won” finds the band incorporating gospel, garage, southern rock, four-part harmonies, & folk into a tight ship helmed by the crack rhythm section of drummer James Pelletier and bassist Eli Thomas. The Undecided blasted pop hooks laced with punk, funk, and harDCore sensibilities from a small but fertile mid-80's scene in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Their earnestly tight album "Dressed to Watch Television" was recorded at DC Hardcore mainstay Inner Ear studios, featuring singer/songwriter Michael Stennick (Space Machine, vocals, guitar), bassist Dave Park (Unrest, Eggs, Flowers of Discipline), guitarist Mike Cluff (Flowers of Discipline), and drummer Cheek Marshall. Hayday - So Far, So Good, So What buy direct

While there has been a revolving cast of characters throughout the last half-decade, the one constant of Hayday has been Greg Wilson's unerring vision of no-nonsense isolated Americana rock and roll; his Southern sense of storytelling matched with his Midwestern pop sensibilities meet perfectly in a hot kitchen on the East River in Brooklyn where So Far, So Good, So What was recorded. Laneview sadly broke up after 6 years, 77 shows and the worst van ever purchased. The final song in the “Believe in Stereo” song cycle is a cover of Ray Davies/Kinks classic “Oklahoma USA”. A mainstay of their live set, the song gives the band a chance to visit one of their faves and put their inimitable stamp on it.
